I'm an award winning interior designer based in Oxfordshire, UK, who has also designed and styled professionally for top brands such as Ralph Lauren, Harvey Nichols and Harrods since 2005. I believe that happy homes make happy people, and the element of fun, comfort & style run through my design ethos.

How this course came about
The idea behind this course was born around the kitchen table with my friend Emma, with a cold glass of bubbles in hand, while our girls were playing together one sunny afternoon. She had recently moved into a house, which needed renovating and had the enthusiasm to design every room herself but was completely lost with where to start. Emma asked me 'how do I go about redecorating to make it feel like my own?' It was at that moment that I saw Emma was not alone in her love for stylish interiors and passion for doing it herself... Not everyone who loves my work wants to have the bespoke design service I've offered to this point. So now I've created Happy Home Design to share top tips and my unique design process with you so that you can have the skills and confidence to design your own dream home as I truly believe that happy homes make happy people.

Work out your likes and dislikes and start a scrapbook to reflect your style. Gather together paint, paper and fabric samples along with magazine cuttings to create your scrap book bursting with ideas and inspiration and fill it with your favourite furniture, colours, fabrics, and lighting.
A colour palette
Create a colour concept that brings a unique sparkle to your home. Bring together you’re selection of colours using the help of colour psychology and colour scheming to create your own colour palette either in your scrap book or digitally using a free Canva template.
Your room design
With the use of furniture checklists and go to sourcing lists to suit your budget you will create your shopping list and draw a scale furniture plan for your space and learn about how to layer lighting.
A moodboard
Bring everything together and discover how to make your dream home flow. You will take your shopping list and present it in a moodboard. You will be shown how to put it together using a Canva template if you wish to do this step digitally.
